War in your back yard - Jan Blokker

'War in your backyard' is the story of hunted residents of Gelderse Valley, between the Veluwe and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In late August 1939, the evil outside world unexpectedly invades the area: the Dutch army is mobilised, and nearly fifty thousand soldiers are billeted in towns and villages. And inevitably, war actually follows. In 'War in your backyard', Jan Blokker jr. lets the inhabitants of the Gelderse Valley have their say.
